Purchase channels
BLUMEX purchases her products through all sorts of channels. Just as with many other companies in the ornamental culture branch this is mainly done through growers and the known auctions. Apart from these buying channels BLUMEX also imports products that are not or hardly offered by the standard suppliers.  Particularly the auctions are the largest suppliers. If there are specific wishes with respect to the product to be purchased (for example: quality, certain quantities) then we either choose for direct purchase from growers or for import. This can provide many advantages for both BLUMEX and the concerning grower (for example: stickering in advance, direct delivery from the grower to the customer, better fixing of prices).

Necessaries
The number of outstanding customer orders, the expected need for speculation and the need for "buffer" generate the largest purchase necessaries. As the last two items cannot entirely be predicted it can occur that during the day a negative stock develops for certain products. In such a case BLUMEX will try to comply with the need by buying products from other export companies or (dependent of the moment of the day) by buying directly from auctions or grower. Therefore it is of importance that our supplies are flexible enough to be able to meet this demand.
