Information for transporters

In the world of flowers and plants logistics internal as well as external are of high importance. This concerns the limited tenability of most products. Therefore it is very important to keep the time between the buying of the products and the delivery at the customer as short as possible.

Internal logistics
In order to enable realization internally BLUMEX uses automatized screening and issuing of products linked to a full automatic sorting installation. The advantage of this is that products that are purchased and sold one-on-one can directly be transferred to the trolley construction. This decreases the pressure on the packing department and enables us to process more products in the same period of time with less personnel and less distribution mistakes.

Internal tracking
All information is linked to the computer system, in which the status of the goods is visible on each moment of the day. It is very important to reach deadlines c.q. departure times, as the customers expect their orders to arrive on time.

External logistics
Before the shipments enter the trucks the products are being prepared for the long journey to the customer. Depending on the kind and nature of the product it is packed for example cooled or extra warm.

Optimal quality
In order to keep the quality optimal during the transport BLUMEX has chosen for external, reliable and specialised transport companies. Per destination we look at the most economic way to transport our products. In most cases we will make use of road traffic (forwarding agents, the customers takes care of transport). For the faraway destinations however we make use of airfreight.
